Portland Condo Sales for August
Portland condo sales for the month of August were down slightly from the average of 50 per month we have been seeing in the South Waterfront, Pearl District and Downtown Portland condo markets. For the month of August we saw 44 sales in the $200,000 and higher market. The highest for the month was a unit at The Henry that sold for $1,075,000. The top selling buildings this month were
Atwater Place, Avenue Lofts and The Strand which each recorded 3 sales for the month. Buildings that had two sales included Park Place, Pinnacle, American Plaza and the townhomes at Riverscape near Pacifica Tower.
A majority of these sales were in what seems to be the sweet spot in the market right now, and that is units that are priced between $300,000 and $400,000. Nearly 56% of the condos sold were in this range. Condos over $500,000 were only 15% of sales in August. With interest rates dropping even lower this month, we may see a bit more activity in the Portland Loft and Condo market as we move into September.
